1. What are the dangers of MDF cabinet doors?
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is a synthetic board made by mixing wood powder, sawdust, and glue containing formaldehyde and benzene. It has poor environmental performance and can adversely affect the health of occupants.
MDF fibers are relatively fragile, the internal structure is loose, and holding power for nails is poor. Once screws are tightened, they tend to loosen easily. It has poor moisture resistance, expands when exposed to water, and is prone to deformation. Strength is not very high. When using MDF for wardrobe cabinet doors, the height cannot be too high, generally not exceeding 2.1m.
2. What are the advantages of MDF?
MDF is very easy to coat and finish. Various paints and coatings can be evenly applied to it, making it the preferred substrate for painting effects.
MDF is also an attractive decorative board material.
Various materials like wood veneer, printed paper, PVC, adhesive film, melamine-impregnated paper, and lightweight metal sheets can all be applied to the surface of MDF for finishing.
Hard density board, after punching and drilling, can also be made into sound-absorbing panels, used in building decoration projects.
Excellent physical properties, uniform material, no dehydration issues.

3. What are the precautions for using MDF?
Keep MDF dry and clean at all times. Do not rinse with large amounts of water. Avoid prolonged soaking of any part of the MDF. If there are oil stains or dirt on the MDF, remove them promptly. You can use mild neutral household cleaners with warm water for treatment. It is best to use the dedicated MDF cleaning protective liquid designed for MDF. Do not use alkaline water, soap, or other corrosive liquids on the surface of the MDF. Do not use gasoline or other flammable items or other high-temperature liquids to wipe the MDF.
It is recommended to place a doormat at the entrance to prevent dust particles from being tracked in and damaging the MDF. Heavy items should be placed stably. When moving furniture, do not drag it; lift it instead.
Please use household cleaners to clean stains and oil on the MDF surface. Do not use large amounts of water to wash the MDF. If there are stains on the MDF surface, generally you can use a damp mop that does not drip to wipe it dry. If contaminated with chocolate, grease, juice, or beverages, just wipe with warm water and neutral cleaner. If contaminated with lipstick, crayons, or ink, you can gently wipe with methanol or acetone.
In winter, pay attention to increasing the humidity on the MDF surface. Mop the floor with a damp mop to appropriately increase the surface humidity, which can effectively solve the problem of gaps and cracking in MDF. If cracking occurs in individual areas, please promptly notify the sales unit for local filling treatment. After filling, appropriately increase the surface humidity to help the MDF restore.
MDF should be kept away from direct exposure to strong sunlight and prolonged exposure to high-temperature artificial light sources as much as possible to avoid premature cracking and aging of the MDF surface. During the rainy season, close the windows to prevent rain from wetting the MDF. Also pay attention to indoor ventilation to dissipate indoor moisture. Maintaining normal indoor temperature is also beneficial for extending the lifespan of MDF.
